Max Verstappen becomes the first Dutch FIA Formula 1 Drivers' World Champion culminating in a journey which began aged four.

Verstappen has racing in his blood with his father Jos starring in Formula 1 and his mother Sophie competing in karting. Years of dedication on the kart-track and in the junior Formulas saw the Dutchman become the youngest full-time driver in Formula 1 history in 2015. Since then it has been a meteoric rise with 20 race wins and 60 podiums. It all culminated in Abu Dhabi on Sunday with a last-lap overtake to win his first FIA Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship at the age of 24.
