Max Verstappen is the 2022 FIA Formula 1 Drivers' World Champion after victory at the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2022.

In a rain-hit race, Verstappen emerged the victor and took the championship when rival Charles Leclerc was hit by a time penalty.
