McLaren ended a 170-race win drought by claiming P1 and P2 at the Formula 1 Gran Premio d'Italia 2021 in Monza.

The last time McLaren won a Grand Prix was in 2012 and the last time it claimed a one-two was in 2010. However, in Italy that all changed. An impressive performance in the Sprint saw Ricciardo and Norris start in P2 and P3. Ricciardo seized the lead early on and, with the assistance of team-mate Norris in P2, held off all challengers for a memorable victory for the British team.
